Monthly Prayer Calendar
Let us Pray…
Day 1: For the world in which we live and breathe: pray that we would be wise and compassionate stewards of our Father’s World. Pray for Christians around the world: that together we will be faithful witnesses of the Gospel and the kingdom of God.
Day 2: For our World: that our leaders may govern wisely, recognizing their need for God’s guidance and that as citizens we may live responsibly, seeking justice and righteousness, fulfilling the divine purpose of reconciliation.
Day 3: For our Nation: that our leaders, public servants, police officers, emergency service personnel may work for the good of all, and that all citizens may live responsibly …show more content…
Day 5: For the Mount Vernon Ministerial Team: that our ministry leaders may have the strength, wisdom, patience and discipline to serve Christ and that their lives may be marked by His grace and His peace, that they always be in search of ways to do relevant ministry.
Day 6: For the Ministry of Music: that our choirs, Praise Singers. and musicians be directed by God’s Spirit, that through their ministry God may be praised and the Lord’s people may be blessed.
Day 7: For the Ministry of Preaching: That Pastor Washington and all who share in our pulpit ministry, may faithfully proclaim the Word of God and communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Day 8: For the Teaching Ministries our church: that the teachers and leaders of our Sunday School, Missions Study groups, Vacation Bible School and our weekly Bible Studies may effectively nurture our relationship with God through insightful Biblical …show more content…
Day 10: For Those Among Us Who Are Sick: that may always be keenly aware that though they suffer pain, illness or disease realize the comfort and that can only come from Jesus, the Savior. That those who are caregivers possess the compassion and sensitivity, as they go about their responsibilities show the love of Christ, always.
Day 11: For Our Guests: that those who come briefly among us as our guests may know the warmth of a Christian welcome., and receive genuine spiritual enrichment from our services; and that as we welcome them we will be open to the presence of Christ.
Day 12: For Our Church Families: that they might find in the Lord their source of wisdom and strength, and that our homes might be places where faith is nurtured and God is
