After studying Carl Jung’s work, Katherine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers created the MBTI to help women entering workplace look for suitable jobs. The MBTI is a psychometric questionnaire that measures how one sees the world and makes conclusions. People experience the world using 4 sets of psychological functions - sensation, intuition, feeling and thinking. Whether the person taking the test is more an introvert or extrovert, whether decision made is through feeling or thinking whether one likes to collect details by sensing or intuition or whether one likes to form an impression of the world through perceiving or judging. One of the 4 is dominate most of the time.

It enhances self-knowledge and tolerance towards others. MBTI is also effective in the building of efficient teams. Teams are able to work more closely together because the group members recognize the similarities and differences in communication styles and how each group member desires to work. In the counselling aspect, MBTI also assists in identifying the types of therapies to use on the different types of personalities; this is extremely helpful when it comes to relationship counselling.
• CRITICS
According to a news article written by Burnett in The Guardian, the MBTI, being a popular and accepted tool, seemingly lacks scientific credibility. Firstly the MBTI was created by 2 non-scientists, Myers and Briggs who had no scientific trainings in the area of psychometric testing (Burnett, 2013).
Moreover, Carl Jung's theory of psychological type, which the MBTI tries to make workable, is not based on any scientific studies. Jung's methodology consists of approaches not accepted by the field of cognitive psychology; his self-analysis and

Studies have shown that the MBTI test-retest reliability varies according to the sample group and time breaks (Quenk, 2000). An example would be the effect of our current environmental factors. If we take the test when we are undergoing stress, our mood would probably affect our results and definitely differ if we were to take the test on another day, in a good mood (Gregory, 2011).

• HOW TO IMPROVE ACCURACY
A popular way to improving the accuracy of an experiment would be the test-retest method; assessing a test's reliability by performing a test on the same group twice or more assuming that the first set of scores is associated with the second.
