Martin Luther King, Jr was born on January 15, 1929 in Georgia as Michael Luther King, Jr., but later had his name changed to Martin. As a person of colour, MLK suffered from discrimination and racism. Throughout his educational career, MLK attended a segregated school. Following his family’s path, MLK became a pastor at the Baptist church in Montgomery, Alabama.
