What is your experience with annotated bibliographies?
My experience with annotated bibliographies began in undergrad when I was studying social work. During our research courses, we had to document our potential research for appropriate references. The bibliographies that were completed in undergrad were a stepping stone for my master’s social work research courses. Even my graduate documentation for annotated bibliographies has not been as comprehensive since starting the program at UNE. I continue to review materials provided by our instructors to ensure that adequate data for the bibliographies is presented in a concise manner for the readers understanding of my research topic.

Annotated Bibliography Biblical Interpretation. 2015, Vol. 23 Issue 2, p191-206. 16p. This source claims that in the past utopian societies existed- utopian as a flexible ideal type, rather than a strict definition. It suggest that reading the Hebrew Bible as a utopia reconstructs its historical realities. The author concedes the argument that each reconstruction of reality is only one possible interpretation offered by a member of a non-intended audience and it doesn’t confirm the existence of a utopian society but he strongly grasps to the fact that if the different reconstructions are put together the truth is more likely to be revealed.…

However, the feedback I received on my assignment helped me recognise my personal strengths and weaknesses and to develop on areas I needed to improve in order to get a better grade. I was able to cite a variety of relevant sources, thinking back I feel I need to review my research strategies. I still somewhat struggle when it comes down to researching a topic, therefore my main goal is to expand my sources and be able to improve my referencing abilities by the sources I consult and what I do with my findings. I need to plan which primary and secondary sources will help me find the material I need and to ensure I refer to in force and up to date materials. I was marked down and this was quite possibly due to me not citing authoritative sources and not using the OSCOLA referencing style guide accurately.…
