I believe that the ability to annotate works of fiction is an essential skill for many reasons two of which are, it will help improve the reader’s comprehension in both fiction and nonfiction, and it will help the reader recall back to the passages they were presented. As someone who scored a 14 in reading on the ACT because of my struggle with being able to comprehend and remember a passage after reading it, I am a strong advocate for annotating fiction; on account of, my expanding knowledge, learning, and usage of annotating, I was able to understand and remember more clearly the novels Of Mice and Men and To Kill A Mockingbird.
