Annie Leibovitz was a streetwork photographer along with a portrait photographer. She was born on October 2, 1949 in Waterbur Conneticut. She is currenty 69 years old and she is world famous. Her great grand-parents were immigrants from Europe. Leibovitz is the 3rd of six children. She took her first pictures when stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam war. While in high school she became interested in art along with music. She attended the San Fransisco Art Institute to study painting while contuinueing to develop her photographs. When she returned to the U.S. in 1970 she began to work for the Rolling Stone Magazine after the Magazine was just released.

John loved the photo because he loved the way it captured their relationship. Leibovitz was the last photographer to shoot John Lennon because he was shot and killed 5 hours after the shoot. In 2008 Leibovitz was fortunate to shoot with Miley Cyrus in which one of the photos created a contraversial scandal. The photo was Miley shot with a bare back and only a blanket covering her body. Leibovitz made a statement saying “I’m sorry my picture was misinterpreted.” Miley stated that she was manipulated into taking the picture however Leibovitz came back to say that they decided on the photo together. John Lennon and Miley Cyrus were only the top of famous people Leibovitz shot with. Throughotu her years she had the privilage of shooting with Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Jackson, Queen Elizabeth II, Angelina Jolie, and The Obama Family along with many others. In 2008 Leibovitz started a new series called the “Disney Dream Portrait Series” Leibovitz used big celebrities to interprate classic disney movies.
