I agree with this statement. Why, because if you were in the “Annexe” by yourself you would die of loneliness. If you were in the “Annexe” with other people at least you would get personal interaction. Anne and her mother had a lot of differences, but I still think deep down Mrs. Frank loved Anne, even though she didn't get along with her. During her story Anne thought her mother disliked her, and approved her sister Margo. But, if Mrs. Frank was paying attention to Anne she would have known Anne was going into depression. I think her diary “Kitty” helped her out of it. Anne has a positive outlook in life, but Mrs. Frank and Anne have a mixed opinion on everything.
