Anne Frank Essay: I agree with annes statement saying that “in spite of everything i still believe people are still good a heart”.

The reason i agree with this statement is because even though some people were being greedy and selfish the others were still cheerful and happy. The following dialogue takes place on page 73
Anne (crossing to Mrs frank and handing her a piece of paper) for mother Hanukkah greeting. The reason why i chose this quote is because Anne frank was in the middle of handing out gifts to her family. As Helen Keller once said, “Keep your face to the sunshine and you will not see a shadow.” This can also mean that the most effective way of getting through a crisis is to have a positive outlook, and not to focus on the negatives. In Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl — a series of journal entries that Anne Frank wrote while she and her family were hiding from the Nazi regime — Anne attempts to have a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances. She fought for her own life and for her loved ones’ lives, and her mental strength is one reason why she made it as long as she did. If she hadn’t looked on the bright side, despite her bleak situation, she would've never had the faith or will to survive.…

The Difficulties Endured by Anne Frank & Eva Galler “Only the bad laws applied to us, that we couldn't walk on a sidewalk, only in the middle of the street. And we wear a star that everybody should recognize us. But it wasn't a law that somebody couldn't kill us. That law didn't apply to us,”(Menszer, “The Holocaust Survivors”). This is just another heartbreaking reminder of how the Nazis treated the Jewish people.…

Anne was somewhat loud, but didn’t seem to express that until her family, the Van Pels and Dussel went into hiding. Anne always saw the good in people, she wrote in her diary while she was in hiding that “in spite of everything [she]…

But in the context of our play, I would go against Anne quote. Probably the main reason why I think this is, the actions of a certain character named Mr. Van Daan. this character decided because he was a little hungry, STOLE the food supply from the others! In my opinion Anne’s quote “despite everything, I still believe that people are basically good at heart” is something I have to agree with. In the play a example of people being good at heart is Miep and Mr. Kraler protecting the Franks, Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel even though they knew what could happen to them if/when they were found. They were not only risking their lives hiding the Jews but also they were getting extra food with the Jews food stamps, knowing that one day someone would notice that they had extra and where getting more food than they needed. Another example of people being good at heart comes from the life article on Anne Frank by Ernst Schnabel. In “A Tragedy Revealed: A Heroine’s LAst Days”, Ernst talked to many people…

On April 11, 1944, Holocaust victim Anne Frank wrote, "Who knows -- it might even be our religion from which the world and all peoples learn good, and for that reason and that reason alone do we now suffer.” Antisemitism is the discrimination of Jewish people. The earliest recorded act of antisemitism dates back to the 3rd century B.C.E. when the Greco-Egyptian historian Manetho said that Jews were expelled from Egypt. Throughout the years, Jews have been driven out of more than 80 countries including Arabia, France, Spain, Sicily, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Bavaria, Naples, Vienna, Poland, Germany, and Russia. The most prominent act of antisemitism most people know of today is the Holocaust that started from 1933 and ended 12 years later.…
