Firstly, some students may claim that the book is boring, but that should have no input on whether you should read it or not. This book is actually very amusing; Anne had a comedic way of thinking and writing, - which is strange considering the hardships she was facing at the time - and she displays that in her diary. How could anyone not want to read Anne’s amazingly talented writing that includes all of her feelings and attitudes from sincerity to sarcasm? If after all of that, some students still think that the novel is a boring, they should realize how many benefits they are gaining from reading it. Many people love learning about the Holocaust, and what better way to do that than by reading Anne Frank’s diary? By doing this, students can learn from past mistakes made by people such as Adolf Hitler and see how our world has grown. Also, students will begin to realize how all of the wrongdoings that took place during this time shaped countries in Europe and even the Unites States.
