In the play, “Diary of Anne Frank.” The character traits that help the people in the annex, are that Anne is an outgoing, friendly, and comprehend girls, Mr,Frank is a kind and intelligent man, and Mrs. Frank is a patience and mature woman. It is so hard for her to hide in the annex , because she is the youngest one hide in the annex. For her age, if she can’t find anything fun she may feels bored and get annoying. But, she is an outgoing girls. She always can find some little things make her happy, even when everybody annoying and tired of hide in the annex, she still stay happy and writ her diary “ A diary...I’ve never had a diary. Normally, people hide in a small place and they don’t have enough food to eat. They are so selfishness, but Mr.Frank is not selfishness, he very kind. Mr.Dussel is jewish, he doesn't have place for hide. Mr.Frank’s friend ask him if Mr.Dussel can hide with them in annex, Mr.Frank let Mr.Dussel hide with them and even they don’t have enough food for themselves. “We can stretch the food a little….”(p.27). Also, he is very intelligent man. He find a place for them hide, and it is very conceal. Nazi soldier are so hard to find out they hide in the annex. The palace save their life, but in the building still have worker work at downstairs, and they hide at upstairs. Therefor, they can’t make any noise when the worker work at downstairs. Mr.Frank make some rules for them to make sure nobody can find out they hide in the annex. “Now, About the noise. While the man are in the building below, we must have complete quiet. Every sound can be hard down there, not only in the workrooms, but in the offices too...So, to be perfectly safe.”(p.7). Mr. Frank isn’t only kind and intelligent, he also very selfless, he always think about everybody …show more content…
She follow all the rules that Mr.Frank make for them, even it’s so hard but she still do it. Because she know if she don’t listen, the Nzai solider can find out they hide in the annex. “ Mr.Frank say:” We must not speak necessary and then in stockinged feet, We must not speak above a whisper....”(p.7). She never complain about the rules, because she know hide in the annex is the only way to stay safe. “You should be ashamed of yourself! Talking that way! Think how lucky we are! Think of the thousands dying in the war every day. Think of the people in concentration camps.”(p.60). She also is a patience woman. They hide in the annex, she know the only way to get free is wait the war end, she know she can’t do anything about it. “ I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains, trom whenever cometh my help.”(p.40). Mrs.Frank also is a very quiet woman, she don’t talk a lot when they hide in the annex, she think more than she talk.
