Have you ever wondered what life was like during World War 2? Anne Frank had an interesting life during this time. This is how her life was during World War 2. Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 12, 1929. She is the youngest daughter of Otto and Edith Frank, and she has an older sister named Margot Frank. Anne went to school at Montessori Lyceum Amsterdam from 1934 to 1941. Before that she went to school at Jewish Lyceum. Anne’s favorite subject in school was history. She was friends with Hanneli Goslar who is known by Hannah. Anne was a straight A student and she was one of the “ popular girls” in her school. For her 13th birthday she got a diary which will become a big thing later in life. She had always wanted to become a famous writer according to her father. …show more content…
The reason her family went into hiding was because, her older sister, Margot, got a letter that told her to go to work at a camp. Otto Frank worked at an office and that office had a secret room. He brought him and his family to that secret room hidden by a bookcase in 1942. Anne’s family lived in constant fear that they would be caught and killed on the spot. In a diary that Anne got when she was 13 she called the room “ the secret annex”. After a little bit another family joined them, their names were Hermann and Auguste van Pels, and they had a son named Peter around Anne’s age. To get supplies that they needed they had Otto’s co-workers bring them food and other supplies they would need. Like any building there are windows in the room they were in. One day while in the annex, a group of Nazi’s found the secret room. All of the people in the room were scared that they were going to get killed on the spot for hiding.
