Anne Frank was an important character in history because of her diary where she wrote about her days, hiding from Nazis, in an Amsterdam attic above her father’s office. It provides a very vivid glimpse into the world of a young Jewish girl living in a Nazi occupied Holland. Not only does it share what she went through but it tells how hard it was to survive as a German-Jewish girl in the Holocaust. A famous quote from Anne Frank is “I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.” which is very inspiring considering what happened to her. Annelies Frank also known as Anne Frank, was born June 12, 1929 was a famous diarist known from her found diary about living her life hidden away during the Holocaust. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany to then move to Amsterdam, as well as many other Jews did, to flee the Nazi’s persecution of Jews. While she's in hiding, Anne decides to think of her diary as a friend, which she names Kitty. It also made writing easier. Besides, she did not really have a real friend, and that's how the whole idea of keeping a diary started. Although Frank never really had a career but she did have her diary which was the extent of her ‘career’. The lifestyle she was living she had to overcome many challenges such as hiding from Nazis, not being able to go anywhere and live a normal life, and other stuff such as not being like a normal kid and going to school. The way things are now is way different from when she lived then because there is no longer Nazis, people were punished for their significant crimes in the time of war, there is no more segregation against Jews like there was then, no concentration camps, and there is freedom for everyone. The field of writing did not really change drastically from then but it did inspire and informed many people on how times
