Anne Frank was a girl who believed strongly that although people made horrid actions they still had purity in their hearts. Anne lived in one of the most gloomy and disastrous points in history. Anne was very comparable to you or I. Moreover, she enjoyed the little things. Such as spending precious moments with her family, having lively times with her friends. She generally loved everything about her life. Ordinarily, you would think this attitude she had towards life would take a drastic turn in the summer of 1942. This is when Adolf Hitlers rain of terror and sorrow began. This man possessed so much hate towards anyone who practiced Judaism. Nevertheless this hatred pushed him to the point that he felt compelled to kill all of the people that worshiped, and practiced this religion. This sad and unfortunate series of events is now known to us today as the holocaust. Although the world Anne wants knew how been consumed by a dark shadow. Anne knew that she needed to make the best of this horrendous situation. She believed "In spite of everything people are still really good at heart." This quote shined through in everything Anne did. The Franks were forced into hiding when the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, demanded all Jews to be eliminated. In fact, many of them were sent to concentration camps to work, or to be gassed to death. The Frank family went into hiding with the Van Daans in a secret Annex in Otto Frank's workplace. There were exceedingly strict rules, they were not to talk, move, or use the restroom. Once it hit six o'clock in the morning, when everyone left the building, they were able to do what they needed to do. This is how Anne and her family had to live for the next two years. While the Franks were hiding, Anne kept a diary during this painful time. Thanks to Anne, we now have a glimpse of what it was like to be in hiding during the
