Anne Frank Inspiration

Since the beginning of time, Humans have shown numerous ways of being cruel to other groups and people with different beliefs. Murder, capture, enslavement, torture, genocide. Many have experienced or seen these done by another country or group to people they knew, loved, and were friends with because of what they believed or did. Some people survive physically but are left mentally scarred. Having a positive attitude is the best response to conflict, especially in a time of war. Winston Churchill demonstrated this in his “blood, toil, tears, and sweat” speech given on May 13th, 1940 during World War II. Many stories and experiences have been told, even by the people that died in the mistreatment, that still inspire others today. One well-known example of inspiration is from Anne Frank, in Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. This girl has documented her experiences from the moment her religious group was being slaughtered by Nazis and went into hiding to when she was captured and sent to a concentration camp. Although she was eventually captured, Anne tried to make the best of it and had a positive attitude, even in the most impossible situations.

Anne Frank’s positivity inspired millions around the world once her diary was published and her story was told. Her diary has been translated 70 languages, and over 28 million people have visited the Anne Frank house since it opened as an museum in 1960.
