According to dictonary.com , sacrifice is the giving up something that is important to you . Mr. Frank scarified the most by letting the Van Daan’s stay with them and Mr. Dussel . Mr. Frank also sacrificed his family's safety by letting other people stay with them. Mr. Frank could have let no-one stay with them it could have just been him and his daughters. But Mr. Frank is nice and caring for others . According to dictonary.com , compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another . Mr .
