She uses this exposure to heighten her knowledge and curiosity about residential interior design. As opposed to commercial interior design, which focuses on the décor and schemes used within businesses, residential interior design is centered around the design of a home dwelling. Residential interior design can be as complicated as tearing down or moving walls and doorways, to simply changing out the lighting and color scheme within the space.
There are many elements to consider when choosing an interior design plan. While the choices of color and texture are more simple, usually, there are other changes that involve more detail. If walls must be moved or window placement changed, how will that affect the structure of the home or the electrical systems run within the space? If a kitchen is being re-designed, will the plumbing need to be moved?
