Anna Sokolow was born February 9, 1910 in Hartford Connecticut. Sadly she passed away not too long ago on March 29, 2000. In New York City. Anyways, Anna was an American choreographer and professional dancer. Ever since Anna was a young girl she's always desired dancing. When she saw like a dance magazine or someone else dancing, it made her happy and inspired her to become a dancer. She wasn't expecting to become famous out of it. Anna found her majority of inspiration to dance in Jewish history and culture. Anna's movements were made up because she had a gift that came so naturally. Her dances were very abstract instead of following her narrative structure which is Jewish, she mainly focus your dances on movement and feeling and explore the
