This written task relates to Doing Nothing Is Something, a persuasive essay by Anna Quindlen that I read in English 2B: Language and Literature. In the essay, Quindlen explores the idea of whether young people have enough leisure time of their own or if they are too busy. I chose to write a letter to the school district. The written task will be to argue the benefit of leisure time students in schools received. I decided to persuade the district to change its regulation policy in studying. The task will explore the idea of cutting down excess work in schools that stress the students and even their families. This task will help emphasize the claim that outdoor activities can be beneficial in replacement of time spent in class and tutorials.
