On October 31, 1998 Salem Rosetta Heart was born at South Stone Memorial. At the age of 14 she was diagnosed by her doctor, Karen A. Johnstons, with Schizophrenia, a disease that makes her unaware of who she is. Her father soon bought a hospital where the schizophrenic group of people could be cared for, called the Schiz Heart Mental Hospital. She sometimes imagines another person who she has named Samantha Dylan Heart. She unwillingly changes into two different people.…
The Change Everybody goes through change at some point in their life. In Christopher Paul Curtis’s book, The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963, both the characters Byron and Kenny go through change. However, Kenny goes through a more dramatic change, inside and out. He is growing a mustache, he learns that magic isn’t even real, and he learns, sadly, the world isn’t fair.…
One afternoon as she lay “languidly” on her bed listening to music, “bathed in a glow of slow-pulsed joy” as her chest gently rises and falls with each breath, one could assume she is falling asleep. (Oates) While asleep she has a bizarre dream; in her dream Connie’s subconscious desire to be loved and cherished by her absent father is revealed.…
Susan Boxwell was honest to a fault, which is why she currently hated her job. Today, like yesterday, like all the other days since the war had begun a young soldier had died on her operating table. With a heavy sigh she did the mandatory cleansing rituals to make herself clean and presentable to the anxious family. Ten minutes later she left the operating theatre with droplets of soldier blood on her hands. The family stared at her intensely as she stepped into the waiting room, their entire beings consumed with fear and hope.…

One morning Shindel woke up and something was off. She began her morning routine, but couldn’t quite put her finger on it. There was some lingering doubt and anxiety about getting dressed. she moved past the uneasiness and put on some clothes, but again a dull twinge came over her while brushing his teeth. It was there, staring her in the face, but he couldn’t see it.…

Janet, Your mother’s physician treated her and her family with compassion the way human beings should be treated. I am so glad she had a doctor who really cared about her by trying every way to get her better before having to make her comfortable. I am sure he had to get his thoughts together before he spoke with your mother and the family because he really cared about her. It is hard watching a parent go through illness but she did not go through it alone she had you and her family.…
Today I was very lucky to sit down with Mrs. Watson and talk about her life. Mrs. Watson was born in February of 1948. She grew up in what would call potato country Presque Isle Maine. She grew up in a large home where she was the oldest girl out of 12 children. She says that she felt more like a mother then sister to most of the younger ones.…

Thesis Statement: The novel “Lullabies for little criminals," written by Heather O’ Neill, examines the effect of social determinants which are poverty and homelessness on the main character Baby’s life. Poverty interwinds with homelessness in Baby’s life, building an insecure childhood for her to grow up with. Introduction: According to my thesis statement, I will explain how poverty restricts baby’s living expectation at first and the relationship between limited living expectation and homelessness will be discussed after that.…
One of the ways in which Holmes expresses his care for the Doctor is through his sole medium of emotional expressions -- by playing his violin. While there is little information in Watsons’ accounts regarding the emotional states of the detective (with the exception of his excitement over a new puzzle and the following bouts of saturnine moods when there are no cases to be solved), we can see that the detective often turns to his violin when pondering upon a case, or even when relaxing. Holmes’ mastery of a violin seems to be one of his most curious habits. Indeed, it seems as a quite non-sequitur quirk for a person who is focused solely on his work and perceives as important only those facts that can be useful to it. However, many times…
