Introduction
Religious faith is manifested in many ways due to the underlying dynamics that informs it. The distinction between devotedness and those living a wild life is often a predicate of one's personal experiences and the nature of social interactions that one sustains. Time and again, living a life full of faith demands much devotion and dedication, something that is much deeper than simple conformity to religious anticipations (Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati 1). One’s psychological preparedness is often crucial to assist in weathering the social, economic, and political impediments that could drive one out of it. Usually, social events such as sufferings play an important role in increasing a person’s religious faith. However, it is the ability to relate such experiences with the scripture and to read manifestation of Christ in them that is more important. Caryll is described as having a mystical gift of visions that gave her strong sensitivity and ability to relate physically with the pains of others (Houselander 2).
