She is only allowed to travel in the company of one of her elder brothers, while wearing the full burqa the entire time. Not a single piece of skin is allowed to be shown and stories of women who were stoned for accidentally having their ankles showing demonstrate how strict the Taliban truly are with the restrictions they have set in place. Even with all these restrictions, it’s incredible to see that she has not lost hope. At the age of twelve, she is still discovering the world and trying to find who she is. Her mother says she is truly the brightest light in her life and finds joy in almost every aspect of the world. Everyone who has met her says that her intelligence shines through and that if she was given the right opportunities, then she could do whatever she wants in life. Hearing this, her smile lit up the room and she said that she one day “hopes to be a writer, a lawyer or a doctor like my mother
