The most prominent feature, in my opinion, of animated characters, is an unrelenting passion or trait that sets them apart. One of the clearest examples of this would be Sanji from One Piece. Sanji was raised by fiery and violent chefs in a restaurant who …show more content…
Chopper from One Piece plays a very significant role. He is a doctor on a ship of pirates that are constantly getting terribly injured. With his crew mates constantly putting their lives on the line, he is the one that must clean up after them. Coming back to Tom and Jerry, Tom plays (in my opinion) the most significant role in the show. Tom is the starter of everything, everytime there is a mouse, he will chase it. Tom can change the whole show with the decisions he makes because without a cat chasing the mouse, there is no Tom and Jerry. Speaking of controlling the show, Luffy (the main protagonist from One Piece) is literally the captain of his crew. A lot of characters in animated shows become redundant and plain to their own personality. An example of someone who isn't redundant or plain is Mr.2 from One Piece (I promise this is the last One Piece character). Mr.2, also known as Bon Clay, Is a fabulous man who just loves skipping back and forth playing games. But Mr.2 will adapt to the situation when they are in danger. Even though he is a silly character, he reacts as a normal human would and should react. A character that somebody could say is the exact opposite of Mr.2 is Killua from Hunter x Hunter. Killua started the show off as a dark and scary mysterious kid, but after meeting the protagonist Gon, he showed his colors. He is in reality very friendly to those that he cares about, but changes as his situation adjusts. Now if there is anyone who gives the feeling that they are a real, reactive, adaptable person, it is Goku from the Dragon Ball series. Goku is the most innocent and quite frankly stupid character in the series, but being the protagonist, he deals with many ups and downs. Goku can change to the most serious and proud individual in an instant. Viewers feel as though they personally know him when they watch the show. Adaptability is fundamental for any character to feel
