There are a number of methods of abusing dogs and other animals, this includes people who may not necessarily meaning to harm their pets or animals in general. There is also some treatments that are considered abuse. These treatments are usually given to dogs and they be considered abuse to some people but in eyes of the law it is not considered abuse. There are two types of beating abuse one is physical and the other is Emotional abuse. Physical abuse consist of physically striking a dog. When there is stray dogs or neighborhood dogs around people may injure or kidnap them in order for them to torture them. There also some people who adopt a dog with the tendency to provide them with a good and safe home but they may abuse them as well. Some signs you should look for is offensive odors that are coming from the home and or the yard. If you can small ammonia or feces there is probably something that is not getting the proper care from their owner. Pets and other animals are not given the protection and basic care that is required by law. These animals may or are infested with ticks, fleas, or even parasites. Animals that show no sign of any medical treatment or have injuries such as open wounds, hair loss, lesions, scabs, or any other skin condition do not have the treatment they must have. Other signs you should be looking for if you suspect that an animal is being abused is look for animals that are tied up without access to food and water with them. Some people may think that leaving animals in the car, garage, basement, attic or any other closed area that are really hot or cold is not counted as abuse but it really is. If an animals is hostile, aggressive, and ill, distressed or exhibit other signs of inadequate socialization then that is a sign that they are or have been abuse before. Animals that are kept in small cages and or kennels is considered abuse especially is they are rarely let out of them. If someone is seen physically striking or harming an animal.
