Can animals can be used for other things then just being a pet? Animals work really good with people. Humans love animals and animals love us back. From the time humans began to walk the earth, dogs were being used for work and to help people that need help. Dogs can be used in different helpful ways all around the world including for therapy. Dogs are great because they are always happy to see a human and will not leave the humans side. Therapy dogs can be used in detecting diseases and cancer, support animals, used to help people cope with stress and comforting or helping people do everyday tasks, and helping people get over traumatic events that happened. There are autism dogs. They are trained to help people with autism. First, These dogs help with people with autism needs or people that do not think like most people, and Some people with autism do not respond the same way to alarming situations. Secondly, autism dogs can smell the chemical changes body and smell when something is not right. They will then alert the parent or guardian that something is wrong. Next, Autism dogs also provide comfort. People with autism tend to have difficulty with making friends and have trouble socializing, but they will find it easier to make communication with a dog. Lastly, autism dogs can tell when their is a blood pressure change or the blood pressure has a big change of a drop. They will then tell the parent that something is not right. Then the parent will then come check to make sure everything is okay. If it is not okay the guardian will then call for help. Autism dogs are very good dogs that alert when something is not right.
Another kind of dog is a hearing dog. First, hearing dogs can alert people to everyday sounds. They can listen and indicate when it is safe to cross the street. Secondly, they give the owner a chance of freedom. They can walk around without a person following them. Thirdly they can retrieve items from a place. Dogs have a very sensitive smell. First, dogs can sniff out lung, breast, bladder and other cancer by the smells that cancer leaves off. Secondly, they can also smell the person's breath to detect cancer. They lie down when they smell VOC cancer. VOC cancer stands for Volatile organic compounds. It is when organic chemicals that have a high vapor pressure at ordinary room temperature They can sniff a little bit of the ukraine and lie down if they smell the signs of cancer. Finally, dogs can tell when a seizure is coming. They can tell how the person acts, if the person is warm or cold and how they smell. This will help the person get the medical help they need. Lastly, dogs can sniff out a drug. Those dogs at the airport sometimes are used to sniff out drugs. When the smell something like a drug they would bark and motion for someone that, the person has or had a drug.
