Title
Animals are used for research to find out the effects out of products. It is difficult to replace animal testing with alternative ways right away. There are still several areas of research where animal testing is necessary and where are alternative ways to test out products are not valid. When animals are tested, they are tested to determine the safety of a product such as drugs, vaccines, medical products, and other products. The focus of animal testing is to test the drug’s nature and effects on the body.
Animal testing helps add to scientific knowledge through research to help scientists understand products. Apply the understanding of the product for the benefit of both animals and humans. Animals have the almost the same basic cell processes. The bodies of animals react and function the same way as humans such as breathing, digestion, movement, seeing, and hearing. For example, scientists will understand what happens if a human is ill because they have seen an animal become ill the same way.

Comparing the differences and similarities animals have between them is a way for scientists to gain awareness about them. Simple animals such as a mouse, can be used for a complex research; for example, the nervous or immune system, which all animals have the same organization and function. Another example is a study done on a giant squid to help understand the function of neurons. Animal testing also helps scientists learn more about different diseases. Once a scientist learns more about a disease, animals are used to test out the different effects for the research process. For example, the different medicines for Parkinson's disease was created because of animal testing. Animal testing is a huge part of biological research to help scientists learn about medical problems and how to fix

Just as far as neuroscience goes, animal testing has revealed very significant results in the way of medical advances. Research done on rats an monkeys, for example, has helped us to better understand PTSD, and it is because of this better understanding that scientists have been able to develop medications to help people who suffer from PTSD cope with aspects of the disorder. Animal research has also been significant in understanding and helping to treat Parkinson’s disease. It was because of the research done on rabbits and mice that scientists discovered that Parkinson’s affects dopamine levels in the brain. Animal research is still important today when studying current diseases and disorders.…

If these products work, then it is a success, but if they do not work it hurts the animal’s and it puts them in danger. Many may say it is a good thing because the products are being tested before handing them to a human. Oliveira 1 Animals should not be used for scientific or commercial testing because animal testing is cruel and inhumane, alternate testing methods are available, and because humans and animals are every different from each other making animals very poor test subjects. Research on living animals has been practiced since at least 500 BC (Animal Testing Pro & Con). Scientist use animals for many different purposes. Animals are used to test the effectiveness and safety of new drugs before those drugs are given to people to treat illness and disease. Animals can also be used as test subjects for products like lipstick, eyeshadow, contact lens solution, and shampoo (Hayhurst, 26).…

Also, products that are dangerous to animals could be helpful to humans. Think about it, how can a rat be the testing grounds for human products? If animal testing is inaccurate, scientist should perform other types of experiments.…

When animals are used in medical research, it is great way to uncover the mysteries and find treatments or even cures for various diseases. For example, in Shany Sun’s Young Scientists Journal article, “The Truth Behind Animal Testing,” the author says, “…medical advancements that have been discovered through animal testing include penicillin, blood transfusions, insulin (that controls blood sugar levels of diabetics), kidney transplants, and vaccines for polio and meningitis” (Sun 1). This example shows just how beneficial animal testing in medical research can be. These medical advancements would not have been available for years if animal testing had not…

Animal testing is also the most effective way to test new medical advancements. Animal testing has quite a few advantages that other forms of research simply do not have. For example, one major advantage is the fact that there is not true alternative or replacement for a true living, whole-body system that animal research testing provides. Living creatures, animals and humans alike, are complex beings. Theoretical models, simply cannot replicate the complexities of a real, living system, nor can it replicate the inherent unpredictability.…

After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…
