Title
Animals are used for research to find out the effects out of products. It is difficult to replace animal testing with alternative ways right away. There are still several areas of research where animal testing is necessary and where are alternative ways to test out products are not valid. When animals are tested, they are tested to determine the safety of a product such as drugs, vaccines, medical products, and other products. The focus of animal testing is to test the drug’s nature and effects on the body.
Animal testing helps add to scientific knowledge through research to help scientists understand products. Apply the understanding of the product for the benefit of both animals and humans. Animals have the almost the same basic cell processes. The bodies of animals react and function the same way as humans such as breathing, digestion, movement, seeing, and hearing. For example, scientists will understand what happens if a human is ill because they have seen an animal become ill the same way. …show more content…
Comparing the differences and similarities animals have between them is a way for scientists to gain awareness about them. Simple animals such as a mouse, can be used for a complex research; for example, the nervous or immune system, which all animals have the same organization and function. Another example is a study done on a giant squid to help understand the function of neurons. Animal testing also helps scientists learn more about different diseases. Once a scientist learns more about a disease, animals are used to test out the different effects for the research process. For example, the different medicines for Parkinson's disease was created because of animal testing. Animal testing is a huge part of biological research to help scientists learn about medical problems and how to fix
