Animal testing should be stopped. Animals are living organisms, but some humans do not treat them like that. I think it should be stopped because “medical breakthroughs involving animal research may still have been made without the use of animals,” according to Procon.org. Also according to Procon.org, “95% of animals used in experiments are not protected by the Animal Welfare Act.” Finally, animal testing is cruel and inhumane! I have learned that medical breakthroughs involving animal research may still have been made without the use of animals. However, “there has been no evidence that animal experiments were essential to find the medical breakthroughs,” (according to Procon.org) therefore I am sure they could find an alternate solution.
