Animal Testing Paper
After decades of animal testing, most cosmetic companies have ruled out the ingredients that don 't benefit their products. With this knowledge, they are able to produce cosmetics with ingredients that are known to be safe for use. Animal testing should not be justified by our enjoyment of cosmetics. The torture and premature death that animals have to endure is inhuman because they have no choice, but cosmetic companies do have the option to take another route to test cosmetics. Other options include paying human volunteers to test the makeup, using the new computer programs that mimics human biology, and using human tissues and cells also known as Vitro Testing. All other factors aside, the root of the problem is the pain that animals must suffer for unjustified cause. Animals are forced to endure cruelty and death because companies refuse to change their routine experiments. “Animal testing, or vivisection, cannot be done without causing pain and suffering to—and in most cases, killing—innocent animals who didn’t choose to donate their bodies to science.”(G,Donald) It seems like people have turned a blind eye when it comes to torturing animals. We have proven our love for animals with almost every household in the U.S. caring for a pet; cats, dogs. There would be an uproar if these loved pets were taken away and experimented on which most likely would end in death. Even if other animals don 't live in our home that doesn 't mean they deserve the misery they must endure for years. There are other options than to experiment on animals, options that will not only benefit animals but also the cosmetic market. People could confidently purchase makeup knowing that an animal didn 't have to give up their life to put on the shelves of stores. There will also be more sales in makeup when vegans and vegetarians realize that a brand has become cruelty free. There is a community that avoid the purchase of or the support of companies and products because they test on animals, thus bringing down
