Great Essays
Animal Testing Cruelty or Normal There are many things that people don’t know about animal testing like what is animal testing. Animal testing is the use of non-human animals in research and development projects, for purpose of determining the safety of substances such as food or drugs (Animal Testing).” Animal testing has been around for as long as anyone can think of and the animals have had a ton of suffering from the experiments. In time there was some things that happened that were pretty terrible that happened to people at one point in history, some may not even think to compare these events to something like animal testing. At some point in history we had concentration camps for Jews and some doctors did experiments on twins and babies, …show more content…
“The FDA acknowledges that 92 out of every 100 drugs that successfully pass these crude animal tests fail or cause harm during human clinical trials. At the rate of failures, the FDA continues to require that companies carry out the terrible painful and deadly tests on animals(Peta)”.Though now there are some new methods of the animal testing that is starting to appear so that the tests don’t have to Reliable on animals to be apart to the brutal tests. Using non-animal tests will produce safer and more effective drugs and reduce the cost of bringing drugs to market and helping the animals to be more happier and healthier than being in the small isolated cages that they once were …show more content…
The animals have been through enough throughout the years and we are now starting to make it to where we don’t have to use animals in experiments. With all the animals that have died in the use of highly dosed chemicals that were injected into there eyes and skin that caused them to die at a such a high rate the animals were abused by the curious minds of people that shouldn’t have been experimenting on the animals. The animals are getting out of what they had nothing to do with just like the Jews and the millions of people that died in that time of history. No animal should be locked in a cage and waiting to die from the pain and cower thinking that they will be getting hurt again and again.Thankfully the animal testing will stop at some point in the years and people see the true mean that animal testing is a cruel thing to begin with. Today hundreds of cosmetics and household-product companies have turned their backs on animal testing and begun taking advantage of the many sophisticated non-animal testing methods available today, which range from cell and tissue cultures to computerized “structure-activity relationship” models.(peta)”. Hopefully soon there will be more companies that will turn there backs on the cruelty of animal testing and want to change the things that have happened to the millions of animals that are in the world that are still

Imagine having the choice of life or death left in your hands alone. On one end, there is a rat, who is energetically running to find a hiding spot from the broom sweeping across the floor. On the other end, there is a stay-at-home mom, jumped up on the table, violently stabbing at the rat in attempts to scare it away from her. One of them will die. Most people would choose to save the stay-at-home mother with three children and not have a guilty thought cross their mind.…

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

Monsters We Created - Animal Testing Universally, animal testing has a famous reputation known for things like medicinal production and (mainly) cosmetic purposes; however, while these experiments may make humans look more beautiful and attractive, the animals’ treatment in these experiments looks horribly ugly in comparison. People have disputed the controversy of animal testing for many years, mainly questioning the morals of animal experimentation or trying to justify it. For the most part, advancing into animal testing has shown itself as a great mistake for humanity and continues to cause unnecessary animal suffering.…

Animal testing is no longer effective in today’s society. Testing has no purpose, it has been said many a time that it is useless and unnecessary. There is a higher chance of flipping a coin and being accurate in a test than actually doing the research and testing on animals. To see if a new product is safe it goes through a whole process where animals are being mistreated for the benefits of humans. Animals in experiments today are bred for the sole purpose of the particular experiment, so once the experiment ends, the animals have no value, and end up getting euthanized, because they are useless to scientists.…

Of the 198 new medications released between 1976 and 1985, 102 were either withdrawn from the market or relapsed because of serious side effects the researchers did not expect when testing them on rats and mice. The side effects included lethal dysthymia, heart attacks, kidney failure, seizures, respiratory arrest, liver failure, and stroke. With all of the evidence of the dangers of animal testing, it obviously should not be used to advance medicine (Greek). It is proven and obvious that the best test species for humans is humans.…

Animal testing has become controversial due to the amount of animals being used to determine a drug’s safety. It is highly concerning as seen as we live in a society surrounded by the impressive technological advancements of the 21st century. Biological implications: There are many positive and negative biological implications. Organisations experiment on vertebrate animals because of their similar nervous system to ours. Meaning that if the animals feel pain from the drug humans are more likely too feel pain too. Although from saying that animals and humans are never exactly the same making the experiment unreliable. Animal testing has been a part of our society since the early 1900s. And it appears to me, that not until around 40 years ago or so, people began to realize that testing animals was inhumane on many different levels. But because we are the human beings that we are, we still try to shy away from a lot of the negative consequences of animal testing. It is easier for us to push aside that which is bad and try only to look at the positive aspects. Yet, in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.…

After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…
