Animal Testing: Safety Of The Human Body

Animal testing is important to insure the safety of new drugs and understand more about the human body, it started started about 150 years ago with the rise of physiology as a science (FAQ’s I Understand Animal Research, 2016) and has been controversial ever since. Animal rights advocates claim that animals testing benefits are misconceived and cite it as a hurtful, brutal and useless practice in science. Animal protests has caused a lot of anarchy and danger from their emergence in the twentieth century to the last decade. However, decreased over the last several years unlike in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
The people defending animal testing are doing so to help improve medicine, particularly in developing drugs of vaccines, insulin and antibiotics.
