Specifically, in writing and literary response, I can see that my scores are better as the years go on, especially in my senior year. Over the four years, I have learned different ways of writing effective essays and new literary devices to include in my essays. I have also learned how to more effectively develop my ideas which have made my writing significantly better over the course of high school. My knowledge scores have partially increased throughout the years. I believe the more books that I read, the easier it becomes to interpret and analyze them. As the years go on, the literary works that we read become more difficult to read, but I believe that only challenges me and makes me think more about what I read. My presentation scores have increased for the most part because although there were few presentation opportunities in freshman and sophomore year, there were many in my junior and senior year. These opportunities greatly increased my speaking and communication skills because there were many presentations conducted whether it was individually or in a group. My language has also remained consistent or increased throughout the years. Although some of my essays from my freshman year contained spelling and grammatical errors, I have improved both of these aspects throughout the last two years of high school.
