As always we have the two black and white perspective, black being that animal testing is wrong because it’s unethical to torture animals and use them as tools for furthering knowledge, as well as that animal should have the same basic rights as a human being. And white being that, animal testing has what has helped the development of many new drugs and advances in multiple issues. Another perspective has been added which argues that progress in new drugs can still be possible, by injecting anesthesia appropriately, and training the staff professionally enough to handle animals properly. An innocent animal, one who just wants to live their life as happy as they can be, just like what any human would want. Animals have just as much of a right to live their life as a human does. Even with the strict rules and controls with animal testing, it does not necessarily prevent researchers from abusing animals. The tests completed on mammals can cause death to rest upon them, which in a way is morally no different from committing a murder because you are killing a living thing. If the animal does not die and is re-contained for other experiments, the effect of being locked up can cause a tremendous amount of stress. We have no proof that animals cannot feel pain, that they cannot express the same feelings towards some things as humans do. In conclusion, different people have different opinions on animal testing, but even being open minded about this topic and trying to understand all of the different
