Animal Testing Is Bad Essay

There are many reason why animal testing is bad. Testings on animals shouldn’t be allowed. It’s bad the test on animals, they could die from the tests, the effects of it don’t even really benefit people, and because it’s torture to animals.
Some people are too naive and they may think that animal testing is good, but animal testing is cruel to the animals because they get tortured for our medicine and beauty products. With all the testing that gets done to the animals, some of the tests fail and we can’t even use the products. Testing on animals could kill them during the tests. Testing on any species is dangerous, it’s like testing on a human, the results are uncertain. The amount of animals dying from the tests in a year is insane, “ONE

We are doing this for human pleasure and benefits and some of the testing is worthless because we can’t use, or have what they’re testing because it’s dangerous to us, so we put these poor animals through all that for nothing. We are not even exactly the same as animals, skin wise, “humans differ from other animals anatomically, genetically and metabolically meaning data derived from animals cannot be extrapolated to humans with sufficient accuracy” (Helen). We are testing on animals, they’re not the exact same skin as humans so the results wouldn’t be exact anyways. Not all the testings can be used on humans, “they aim to guarantee that allowing facilities to test substances on animals is a last resort, to be condoned only after other methods have failed or been deemed unsuitable” (Sun). Some of the tests have either failed or have been too much that they just were unable to use them. We can figure out the effects of things on us without the animals, “animal testing practices in the U.S. are antiquated and unnecessary with the advent of alternative methods to determine skin and eye irritation that do not involve animals” (Bronner). There is no point of bringing in the animals for testings if we can figure it out without

Maybe one day technology will have advanced so far as to render animal testing unnecessary, which would be ideal, but that day is simply not today. However we must not be wanton or ruthless in our testing of animals, just as animal test subjects are necessary so are the ethical and moral policies that regulate animal testing. Scientific advancement should never rely on what is blatantly cruel and scientists should always strive to do as little harm or cause as little distress as possible to their test subjects. Animal testing can lead to great advancements in medical technology and it is our job to make sure that we take the comfort and well being of the animals being tested into account. After all, to anthropomorphize for a moment, isn’t that the least we can do for the beings who are helping us treat all the diseases we are susceptible…

There are many alternatives to animal testing and excuses need to stop being made to keep animal testing in business. It may seem like it is the only option, but there are so many new ways to do the exact same test in ways which do not involve animals at all. It is cruel and inhumane to keep animals in small cages and not only physically, but also mentally harm them. Artist Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.” The time for animals to be treated similarly to humans can be…

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

People, especially scientists, are hurting innocent animals that did no harm to anyone. Animal testing shouldn't be allowed to happen because animals are getting hurt, they are not protected, and animals get mistreated. One reason that animal testing shouldn’t be allowed is because animals are getting hurt. For instance, the Draize eye test involves rabbits having their eyelids clipped open for as long as multiple days so that they don’t blink the product being tested away. Popular cosmetic brands like L'oreal, Lancome, Estee Lauder, and S.C. Johnson are used on animals.…

Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. These animals are subjected to forced feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, infliction of burns and wounds to study the healing process and effects and remedies. Among the cruelest experiments is the Draize eye test which evaluates irritation by shampoos and other products to the eyes. During this experiment rabbits are restrained and their eyelids are held open by clips for multiple days which leads to the death of 50% of rabbits used (Scientific American, "Do Cosmetic Companies Still Test on Live Animals?," scientificamerican.com). We also are very different from animals; having different metabolic, anatomical, and cellular differences.…

Animal testing has been a part of our society since the early 1900s. And it appears to me, that not until around 40 years ago or so, people began to realize that testing animals was inhumane on many different levels. But because we are the human beings that we are, we still try to shy away from a lot of the negative consequences of animal testing. It is easier for us to push aside that which is bad and try only to look at the positive aspects. Yet, in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.…

Why Animal Testing Should Be Banned Everyday innocent animals are being forced into labs and tested for human research advancement. Cruelty Free International states how approximately 115 million animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, dogs and monkeys are used in dangerous laboratory experiments every year. In fact, many of the experiments are said to be useless tests, as stated, “The reality is that the majority of animal experiments do not contribute to improving human health, and the value of the role that animal experimentation plays in most medical advances is questionable” (“Animal Testing is Bad Science”). Misconceptions by the media may stretch the idea how animal testing can cure diseases, illnesses etc.. But actually, as emphasized, animal testing is an inefficient way of finding medical advances, making the procedures to be unnecessary and making there be no reason to force animals into labs without a choice, it's blatantly a waste of animals lives.…
