With animal testing, many diseases were prevented and while benefiting humans, it also benefits animals themselves. Animal testing has been crucial in helping animals improve their survivability or slowing down the process of natural selection. For example, animal testing has developed vaccines for rabies, canine parvovirus, distemper, and feline leukemia virus which kept animals away from fatal diseases. A journal of Nature Genetics states that, "stressed or crowded animals produce unreliable research results," and many other studies prove that animals in stress have lower success rates.
