day, people all around The world use computers, watch TVs and read newspapers so that they can catch up with all the latest news, fashion trends, and everything else that is going on around the world. Because of their high usage, these sources are the best ways for companies to advertise and sell their products. Companies put a fair amount of time and money into each and every advertisement that we see every day, because their main goal is to persuade their audience to buy their products or to get involved in a certain thing, and no matter what, these commercials will affect the viewers and they tend to buy those products because they want to jump on the band wagon and fit into the society. For instance, companies who support the animal shelters will give out ads that really plays with their audience’s emotions so that they can convince them to donate, and even though most people are aware of the fact that the majority of the money would not go towards the animals, they still tend to pay because they want their minds to be at ease.

For instance, Pepsi released an ad during Halloween where the Pepsi can had a cape around it and the cape looked like the Coca Cola can. The background of the ad is very dramatic, it is mostly dark, but it does have some minor bright colors such as the grass and the dim light that is coming from the sky, it is also filled with plenty of details- like the sharp edges of the rocks- that really catches the audience’s attention. The woods and forests are known to be scary ( specially when it is getting dark) and by choosing this background they meant the give their viewers a feeling of horror and fear.
