Some animals that develop unlikely friendships are hermit crabs and sea anemones. In the article “Animal Roles and Relationships” par.#2 it states, “the anemones protect the crabs from octopuses and other predators. The hermit crabs give sea anemones protection from starfish and other attackers.” This shows how some animals form unlikely friendships for protection. Since the anemones protect the hermit crabs from octopuses and other predators and the hermit crabs protect the anemones from starfish and other things they form a type of team like friendship for protection.
