Animal Research Should be Allowed for Scientific Research
With the development of technology and the demand of medical treatment, animal research appear in the public views. According to Use of Laboratory Animals (1988), animal research, which is using animals to test biomedical and behavioral research of animals to compare with human, were appeared in over 2000 years ago (p. 12). Some animals in research, so this argument goes, are having psychological hurt. For example, according to the article of Harm and Suffering (2015), animals spent most of their life in barren cages, most of them have never task fresh air and sunshine until they are killed for the cruel experiment, they are unable to task the nature and the wide worlds. “In 2009, the monkeys in the undercover lab experiment were insanely spinning around the cages and biting themselves because of the stress they have and the depressive enclosure and dread” (para. 8). However, animal research should be allowed because of the benefit of animal research for finding the useful information for human which are more friendly to the animals, in the other words, animal research could help researchers to make sure the difference and similarity between animals and humans to understand the system of humans which are not possible to research, as where the bones are in the human’s body. In fact, it is difficult to have fresh spines for the research “in large quantities for in vitro studies” to be the resources of research (Res, 2013, p. 143). In these research, live animals or animal corpses were chose to be a model or example to compare with humans by doing CT or measuring in the corpses to have information from the spines. Because of the limitation of bodily form and the growing of animals, sheep is more and more popular in the research about the compare with humans.
