My genius hour topic for 2017 was based upon animal extinction. For me, animals are highly important to this world, and we humans are going against animal species, leading up to my inspiration to choose the topic I went with. My starting plan was to go without a partner because that way, I could take all the decisions without having to care for someone else. Once I decided to go on without a partner, I decided to do a website that I could display my topic on, being the easiest option I could take. But I was a bit wrong, making a website isn’t difficult, but finding sources to back up my topic was quite a challenge, because there weren’t many sources talking about how animal extinction can affect us humans. But at the end, I found a few sources that backed up the idea.

One of my five goals I was forced to drop out was contacting an animal zoo because I found no correlation to my project, unless I wanted to talk about animal cruelty. What indeed took the most time out of my genius hour project were the effects, because there were times that I taught that I was not going to finish because few sources talked about the effects of animal extinction. Looking back at the time where we had to choose our topic, I would have chosen to start a YouTube filming my team’s soccer practice drills so people who want to start a soccer team, can look at my drills and tips. At the end, I decided to forget about the YouTube channel because back then, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to start my own soccer team. Overall, I still learned a lot about my genius hour project because outside of humans, animals are vastly important the world providing a huge benefit to why the world still exists. For example many animal species could potential help boast the human body if we study them closely and look at their body
