1 Shearing injury
Injury caused by shearing is common especially when people are training or only just starting to learn. These are usually small cuts but even though they are small in size, they are prone to get infected easily especially if the alpaca tends to roll. If your alpaca gets injured during shearing, call the vet to come check it out depending on the size of the cut. If it’s only small, monitor it but it most likely will heal up fine. If it is a large cut, contact the vet as it might require stitches.
