This world is filled with some amazing creatures like Giraffes who's legs are taller than the average human size. (Society, National Geographic. Giraffes, Giraffe Pictures, Giraffe Facts. National Geographic)On the other hand, what if there was nobody to capture these majestic animals? That is what Animal Photographers do. Taking pictures of these beautiful and bold animals is not all Animal Photographers do. Being an Animal Photographer whether it is land or marine animals, is a very unique job with many once in a lifetime experiences. Animal photographers require on the job training, patience, and a lot of bravery. This job requires more skills than just taking pictures and editing them to be an Animal Photographer. It requires photography, camera and software, and editing skills. These skills seem easy, but these skills can also be difficult from time to time. Camera skills are very important because you are going to be working with many types of cameras and you should be able to pick it up quickly along with the different types of software and editing applications. Dealing with all of the camera equipment such as tripods, lenses, and chargers is also a task and responsibility. Going straight into a photo shoot of the animal is not a great idea because going in with no knowledge of the animal could be an extremely dangerous situation. Researching the animal before taking pictures of that animal is always a good idea. Researching before does not always describe what that animal will be doing on that date and time, it is still risky. That is where the bravery comes in, always being aware of the surroundings and paying close attention to the animal helps to reduce the chance of injuries. Always pay attention and do the research.
