“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which” (54). In Animal Farm, the animals can not tell the difference between animal and man which shows just how the revolution affected them and how some of the animal’s morality leads to the revolution. In the novel, Animal Farm, George Orwell uses lack of mortality demonstrated by the main characters to illustrate a revolution. As one closely studies this they will find three themes which include dictatorships, greed and corruption that shows how morality sparks the revolution. The pigs had the most greed out of all the animals mostly because they were considered the leaders but there are some other animals that experience greed. The animals noticed something big “…(T)hey came back one night in the evening (and) it was noticed that the milk had disappeared” (10). The pig’s greed as they came into leadership made a huge difference in the revolution. The hens made a point that Mr. Jones mixed the milk in the mash but the pigs brushed off that idea and had their own agenda of what to do with the milk. The pigs had a selfish desire for this milk and did not care who it hurt. This immoral event is one action took by the pigs that made the revolution because as the story moves forward the pigs want more and become greedier. All Mollie wants is sugar and her ribbons even though they are not allowed on the farm this “Three days later Mollie disappears” (18.) She abandons the other animals from her own greed of looking pretty with her bows and eating sugar. All Mollie wants was to be treated and look like a princess and she couldn’t get that at Animal Farm so she left to find someone who will give her what she wants. This shows that Mollies immoral actions coming into play and contributing to the revolution.
