Animal Farm Propaganda

George Orwell, a political satirist of the Russian Revolution, expressed his opinions against the new movements engaging in communism and totalitarianism through the allegorical fable, Animal Farm. On Manor Farm in England, re-established as Animal Farm, a group of power greedy pigs take absolute control over the other farm animals. They abuse their authority to oppress the lower class for rewards in the behalf of their benefit, parallel to how Russian leaders in the twentieth century ruled. While the lower class animals are convinced by propaganda that their lives have improved from the past, their equality and freedom is taken away from what the dictatorial pigs say is for their personal benefit. The malevolent pigs of Animal Farm rule as ruthless dictators, using their power over the inequitable dispersal of education, fear of themselves and others, and persuasive speeches to oppress the animals on the farm, in which the sheep are too fearful and naive to be aware of the tyrannical society they live in.
