The intricate novel, Animal Farm, by George Orwell differs from the 1999 film as it indicates notable similarities and differences that compare both the novel to the film. As the film proceeded throughout the story, very close to exact in comparison to the book, the film incorporates scenes from the book as well as many different approaches to certain key events that lead to change in an event. For example, similar climatic events presented in the book and in the film involve: Old Major’s significance in his speech regarding Man as a major enemy, Napoleon banishes Snowball over their discussion regarding Snowball’s plans for the farm and his plan of execution, and the pigs’ removal of the original anthem of Animal Farm.
