In this story Napoleon is our dictator. Being the only one of his kind on the farm, Napoleon stands out and takes up the leader role of the farm. He most definitely is a manipulator of the people coming to a conclusion as to how he became the leader. Terror is a main component of this tactic to win over the people. Napoleon was a great leader of the farm, but the way about how he gained the respect of the people is all wrong. Snowball is one of the many intelligent pigs. In the book he becomes our view of the enemy after once being the “right hand man” of Napoleon. Snowball was not as vocalized as Napoleon was, but he was in it for the best of the animals. Snowball’s great character was brought down by Napoleon. To the animals Snowball will always be seen as the enemy. Boxer is a huge beast that has the strength of two his kind which are horses. In this story he represents the working class, only with much strength to overthrow the government. Boxer lacks the intelligence of the rest of the animals, yet has the greatest impression of himself. Determination was the key for BOxer’s survival in the farm. His strength made of for what he lacks compared to the rest of the animals. Boxer is our hope throughout the story, only to be taken advantage of and killed in the end.
