This animated film benefits from a faithful rendering of the story and two talented voices - Gordon Health narrates while Maurice Denham acts out as the animals. In my opinion, the atmosphere of the cartoon movie Animal Farm is a perfect way of seeing collusion, spying, killing and a real sense of fear comes through as the animals rules are eroded by one another by their chosen leader. George Orwell’s novel is about the deception, the cruelty and the hypocrisy of the pigs and their control over the farm.

This film is a cartoon adaption or George Orwell’s. The animals are tired of being under cruel hand of farmer Jones, so old Major, a pig, leads a meeting declaring that man is their enemy. When Major dies, the animals lead a successful revolt against farmer Jones, and have their own laws. Snowball then becomes the first president, but Napoleon oust him, and Napoleon and his accomplice, Squealer break a countless amount of rules,

for example some scenes such as Jones getting driven away by the animals, similar to how it was in the book, same as not showing Mrs Jones getting driven out from the farm. In my perspective though the movie and book were quite similar aside from a couple details, they didn’t incorporate.

Overall, despite its liberties with the material, Animal Farm is an enjoyable and instructive film. I very much enjoyed watching Animal Farm itself as well as the novel adaption because as reading through the book I had gotten a strong feeling such as I was being part of the whole story as it was going on in the perspective of one of the animals. I felt as if I knew exactly what the animals were going through especially with

the multiple battles that kept going on. In my opinion, I would recommend this movie to others if they enjoy watching films containing conflict and a distorted

Perhaps the reasons of similarity do not match to another’s standards, or the differences do not stand out enough to be considered heavily contrasting. The movie, after all, can stand alone with no prior background, why compare it to a book written fifty or so years ago? The book stands as a very old book, standards for a story could have changed since the time it was published and required changes to a movie. There exists a number of things that could contradict the statements above, questioning why there even needs to be any comparing of the two. The differences in the novel and movie of Animal Farm makes both unique in their respective fields.…

After reading chapters 4-10 from Animal Farm I can to relate to it in a personal way. Personally I think that it isn’t fair to be dishonest with others and take advantage of them. Many people that are rich or are high in power are like this they take advantage of other people and their work yet they think it's is okay since it is benefiting them and this is how it was in Animal Farm. The animals were so ignorant and were easily tricked by the pigs.…

The similarities between the novel and the book subsist of The Seven Commandments, the Animalism Flag, and the key point of Old Major’s speech. Animal Farm Comparison Contrast The novel, Animal Farm by George Orwell conveys multiple similarities and differences regarding the movie. In the movie, as well the book Mr.Jones the owner of the farm is a drunk, Old Major a highly respected elder dies, and Napoleon destroys the order of the farm. However in the movie, unlike the book Old Major was shot by Mr.Jones’ bullet, Mr.Jones was a cheater, Mr.Pilkington was on the animal's’ side from the beginning, and Squealer turned out to be just as evil as Napoleon. The setting in the beginning of the book takes place as Mr.Jones forgetting to lock up because of the whiskey he drank prior that evening. As for the movie, his behavior did not change.…

The book Animal Farm and the movie Animal Farm are both alike and different in more than one way. One of the biggest differences I noticed was that in the movie Jessie, the dog, played a key role. In the movie Jessie was a main character and narrated the movie; meanwhile, in the book she wasn’t talked about as much and was easily manipulated by the pigs. For example, in the book she didn’t even try to get her puppies back when she noticed Napoleon corrupting them, but in the movie she tried to at least see them. More evidence on this difference is that in the movie her loyalty was portrayed to Boxer when he was unfairly taken to the slaughter house, but in the book when this happens she doesn’t have an opinion on it and her loyalty still lies…

Animal Farm is a book based off of communism in Russia with the representation of animals, barn houses, and some deaths. Also it only showed the major events of Communism in Russia. In Animal Farm, Orwell develops the theme of lies and manipulation through the setting, characters, and the plot. The characters develop to the theme based off of Napoleon the leader who constantly changes things to keep his motto “ Napoleon is always right” and Squealer the provada who covers up the lies and manipulates them and cover up the lies. The setting contributes to the theme because it is used to divide the “classes” like the pigs living in the farmhouse and not doing no work, and the animals are the working class who live in the barn and do all work.…
