The Bolsheviks were members of a Russian Social- Democratic Workers Party led by Lenin. He eventually had control over the Russian Government and became dominant political power. The group originally came about at the party’s second congress in 1903 when Lenin’s group made suggestions that the party member be restricted to professional revolutionaries. They won majority of the party’s central committee also was on the editorial board of its newspaper Iska. They thought of the name Bolshevik and dubbed their opponents the Menshevik. Even though both parties acted in the Russian Revolution down the line their differences slowly increased. The Bolsheviks were stern about the type of professional party they insisted on having. He despised Stalin as he wanted the same things as Trotsky. Orwell thought the Bolshevik didn’t support Trotsky because they were scared of Stalin’s force. This is shown in Animal Farm where pigs like Squealer followed under Napoleon because they didn’t want to get killed by them. In George Orwell Animal Farm it best explains to readers what the Bolsheviks were for and about. It was sad how the animals were betrayed by the pigs they all provided food, worked very hard, and believed what all their hard work can achieve for them and Animalism. That shows how too much power can be taken to the extreme and pulled to any measure to reserve that spot on top. Napoleon did the animals very wrong but that’s a good example of when you let too much power get to your overcome
