Animal experimentation is a scientific method that aims the use of the use of animals for scientific experiments. Hundreds of millions of animals are used each year in toxicity testing, as learning resources in schools or research models in various laboratories around the world. Scientifics researches are using animals to make experimentation of medicine or products that would test if it works on human. “Animal experimentation has led to the development of treatments for diabetes, anthrax, rabies, polio and smallpox, as well as anti-depressants, tranquilizers and antibiotics” (ProQuest Staff). Many people think that animal experimentation is necessary because Scientifics can test products on them that humans will use; however animal experimentation …show more content…
However, there‘re different purpose to make animal testing. One of those is for cosmetic, the products are tested on animals to see how it 's going to react and also to find out the capabilities of this. After that, companies do a safety evaluation of that product to see if they work or not and then companies decide if the product is ready to go out of the market. For example “Jim Moran, D-Va., who has introduced legislation that would prohibit testing cosmetic products on animals, as well as the sale of any new cosmetics if the final product or any component was developed using animal testing”( Frommer) in order to reduce this issue. “Cosmetic companies largely stopped animal testing on finished products in the 1980s, and now only consider using them when mandated by government bodies or for safety evaluations of new ingredients when no viable alternative is available” (Frammer) for making those tests. In other word, no matter if there’re no other alternative to find out if a product is going to work for humanity, companies still using them because they think that testing on animals is the easy way to discover new things that people can use for personal care. Hundreds of thousands of animals worldwide are currently victims cruel …show more content…
The reasons for this is because animals have the same right to live and be free as humans, so using for selfish reasons in extreme ways are cruel and shocking; the experimental results are inefficient since animals and humans are different. Creating new technology will be a great innovation to save millions of animals. “Virtual computer models comprise a large collection of equations that describe how the components of a cell interact with one another and with physical quantities such as the voltage of the cell 's membrane or concentrations of chemicals such as calcium and potassium”( Piesing) were seen in this

Over the years, animal experimentation has been an ongoing debate about whether the procedures meet ethical standards. Animal experimentation is the use of living animals for research purposes to assess the effectiveness of new medicine and consumer products. Animal testing is used towards enhancing products such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food additives, and household cleaners so that toxic encounters do not occur. Animals that are involved in experimental testing experience psychological distress, extensive pain, and suffering. The animals can either be re-used or killed at the end of an experiment.…

A possible concern is that over 100 million animals- mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds- are used for research and experiments each year. These animals are forced to test poisoning for burning skin, toxicity testing, causing brain damage, and many other horrible tests. The innocent creatures are harmed and sometimes killed in the process. On the other hand, scientists are doing these many different types of tests to learn more about health problems that affect both humans and animals. Since animals are biologically related to humans, it makes them good research subjects.…

This quote explains animal testing perfectly; “Many cosmetic companies test their new products and ingredients by forcing rabbits, hamsters, and mice, among others, to endure horrific practices such as breathing in poisonous fumes or having lethal chemicals poured into their eyes and rubbed into their skin”(Natasha Cole, Cruelty Free Cosmetics). Many supporters of animal testing will argue that it can have positive outcomes, however, humanity uses it in vain ways. This makes it especially wrong because humans are treating animals cruelly and inhumanely mostly to look attractive. Continuing on about cosmetic testing on animals: “Animal testing for cosmetics is an outdated practice and does not provide the most reliable results regarding the safety, performance, or possible reactions that cosmetic products or ingredients could have in a person” (Natasha Cole, Cruelty Free Cosmetics). The reason to continue these means of testing on animals proves to be no longer relevant because easier and more reliable ways of testing do indeed exist.…

The reason they even do animal testing is because they think it'll be better than killing the person. However, animals are different than people; something could go wrong when they do the testing. They could react different than the human. Why use animals to test the products before they get sold when there are cruelty free products? Consumers expect that the products they use in everyday life are safe when used as directed.…

Beauty product testing on animals should be banned because animals have feelings and it is inhumane to cause animals to suffer, giving a whole other meaning to the saying pain is beauty. Animals are innocent and should not suffer the consequences of our selfishness in the need to be beautiful. Many mainstream cosmetic brands still test on animals like Maybelline and Avon. But, why would you test beauty products on animals, when they are meant for the use of humans.…

Many companies use animals to see how they will react to their product. There are many companies out there that do not use animals for testing their products though and they have great products that people like you and me love and buy everyday. I personally disagree with animal testing just because of the thought that what if it was your pet getting some kind of nasty chemical put in them and it kills them. I couldn’t deal with that, but plenty of scientist don’t care and they just want to get their product to…

Animal Experimentation Animal experimentation has been around for many centuries. Humans perform these experiments on all species of animals to find different effect of a product it could have on a human. Three advantages in particular advantages are, it helps scientists gain a better understanding for cures of different diseases, this practice makes a vital advance in medicine, and for the expense of treatments and cures animals should not have rights when it comes to research. Although there are many advantages to animal experimentation, there are also disadvantages which include, there is no benefit for the humans, it is cruel, and is dangerous for humans to be treated only after a trial on animals. The first advantage to animal experimentation is using animals like rats can help the scientist gain better knowledge for different…

The main reason why we animal test is for cosmetic research, not medical research, which is the only type that can be half accepted. Medical research for humans on animals means they still do not get the correct results we need because of the two different reactions of chemicals in two different animals. Popular brands hide the way they animal test because they know that when people find out their product will not sell as well. Global warming is also a huge and rising problem on our earth, and by cutting out cosmetic research on animals, it will mean a few hundred less factories running around the world and releasing fumes into the atmosphere. This will mean a lot of jobs lost, but there are plenty more jobs in the world and it will only benefit our world.…

Animal Testing Paper After decades of animal testing, most cosmetic companies have ruled out the ingredients that don 't benefit their products. With this knowledge, they are able to produce cosmetics with ingredients that are known to be safe for use. Animal testing should not be justified by our enjoyment of cosmetics. The torture and premature death that animals have to endure is inhuman because they have no choice, but cosmetic companies do have the option to take another route to test cosmetics. Other options include paying human volunteers to test the makeup, using the new computer programs that mimics human biology, and using human tissues and cells also known as Vitro Testing.…
