Imagine a scared, damaged dog, he is scared because one wrong move could lead to him being abused. The animal just wants to be loved by his owner but, the owner only shows him hate, and abuse. Any person can help prevent this but, without strict laws no animal is guaranteed a safe life and a way out of its awful, abusive life. These animals have awful lives and are scared, however both people around the victims and lawmakers can help the animal live happier and longer. Animal cruelty should have strict laws because with laws there would be a decrease in animal abuse and an increase in animal safety, abuse can be prevented, people need to attend programs that help them learn about both animal abuse and safety

There should be a law that if you own an animal you need to attend at least one program. If people attended programs and learned about animal cruelty they would be less likely to abuse their pets. In Animal Cruelty and Neglect Exposed it states “the main goals of most programs are to help educate people about their actions”. Until laws become more firm animal cruelty will remain a problem, in Animal cruelty and Neglect exposed it states “there has been a growing awareness and reporting of animal cruelty, but it is still a major problem.” In conclusion, animals should not have to be victims of abuse. Most animals on average die because of abuse, but with laws we can decrease the death of animals and make safer environments for them.
