In the United States, there are around 900 to 2,000 new cases every year dealing with animal cruelty. Animal cruelty consists of someone hurting an animal or not caring for them. Them, being the defenseless animals are seen to some people as creatures with no emotions which is completely wrong. Animals have emotions just like humans do. They were put on this earth to be loved not to have some cold hearted person harm them. Even though animal cruelty can happen to any animal it is most likely to occur in pets and animals used for entertainment.
People tend to get pets because they are animal lovers and want them to have a good home. The cold hearted people, on the other hand, get pets because they enjoy being cruel to the animals. But don't
