The book ‘’Call of the Wild’’ is a book about a dog named Buck. He is abused all his life until John Thornton saves him. I did not like this book at all. It has too much animal cruelty. It also has too much violence in it. I don’t like this book because it has animal cruelty in it. For example, they beat the dogs with clubs. I believe that it isn’t right to beat animals. The owners also starved them. It definitely isn’t right to keep dogs from eating. The protagonist in the story is Buck. He is also the main character. The antagonist is Spitz.
