I am a animal lover and hate to see animals outside or being abused for no reason. I've loved animals since I was in elementary. I would always get asked what I wanted to be when I grow up. I've always wanted to be a veterinarian, then I changed it to a Vet Technician. Animal cruelty is any act of violence or neglect against an animal. A few things one may have seen is an animal tied up outside for all hours of the day with no food, water, and shelter or maybe a person has seen an owner purposely hit their dog. Animals, are like humans, they have feelings and reactions to the way they are handled.
Acts of animal cruelty are not indications of a minor personality flaw in the abuser; it’s a sign of mental disturbance. Animal neglect or abandonment

Chaining an animal for a long period of time can also be neglect and is considered illegal in many municipalities and several states because they need shelter and need to stay warm during the winter. When people think about animal cruelty, they think it is a dog chained up outside in the cold without any food, water, and shelter or some kind of fighting ring where pit bulls are fighting each other. Every year, about 10 million bulldogs die because they have been bred to fight for gambling or for entertainment. 71% of the victims of domestic abuse state that their abuser targeted their animal. Before the year of 2000, any dog that served in the military were euthanized once they returned from battlefield because they thought the dog would harm civilians. The reason why dogs are left at the shelter is because they were unwanted by the family. According to FBI, cruelty to animals is a common trait of a serial killer or murderer. Leaving pets outside on a hot day or in a hot car can lead to brain damage. Animals that are brought to the shelter are usually put down because no one wanted
